I am back

Well kind of. I got burned out really quickly blogging so much. But I do really enjoy it. So I am going to try and work in weekly if not bi weekly posts. These posts will contain more substance then my previous posts. I hope everyone has had a great holiday and is ready for a new year to begin soon.

Google Crawling

The occasion is finally here. Google has crawled this blog. It now shows up as the 11th result when you search for techtify. Not the best spot to be but certainly not the worst. I have no idea where this blog sits for other key words. This is a start however and hopefully from these humble beginings the site will grow. So if you have any comments or feedback please send me a mail and I will do what I can to improve the content of this site.

Yeah 100 unique visits

The blog hasn't been up even a week yet and already it has had 100 visitors. Thanks for all of your support. I am still working on experimenting with the look and feel of this blog as well as making sure to add unique and interesting content on a regular basis. Again thanks for all the support and lets see how fast this traffic builds.

Twitter

Based on a suggestion from a friend on facebook I have setup a twitter account. I then hooked up the RSS feed of this blog to twitter. Hopefully the short clips found on the twitter site will redirect tweets to the actual blog!

Pass it around

I am trying to build traffic to the site. So if you like what you have read please refer me on to your friends. It will greatly help me to build traffic. So far I am averaging a little over 1 unique visit an hour. My goal is to make that 1 unique visits per minute! So lets see how long it takes to get there.

Site statistics tracking

So I was looking for a simple way to track the traffic that this blog generates and ran across http://www.sitemeter.com/. It is a pretty handy little tool. You may notice the banner at the bottom of the page. It is very unobtrusive and it is free. It has easy to follow instructions on how to set it up for a variety of site types and provides just the kind of information needed to track how my blog is doing.

Now the only question remains will I be able to generate traffic to my blog or not. Time will tell I guess.
